No. 6: Insha'Allah

Clothing:

White shirt, very loose-fitting, open at neck, with wide, turned-down collar, yoke, very full sleeves gathered into cuffs. Collar and front opening are edged with looped braid, probably silver. Cuffs and lower edge of yoke are edged with ruffled trim, about 1" wide, probably silver. Cuffs are fastened with four small buttons.

Black trousers, close-fitting. No details visible.

Accessories:

Very wide sash, red with thin white stripes, tied overhand at left front of waist.

Comments:

A very dashing look; I like the swashbuckler-style shirt, though I'd prefer the sash a bit less voluminous.

Clothing:

Loose-fitting tunic, below hip length, medium color, front wrap closing. Worn open to waist. Dark, turned-down collar. Very full sleeves, below elbow length, gathered into narrow cuffs. Sleeve caps. The collar, front opening edge, and lower edge of sleeve caps are trimmed with narrow, light-colored lace.

Light-colored trousers, slightly loose-fitting, worn tucked into boots.

Dark (probably black) boots, below knee length, low heel.

Accessories:

Two necklaces, upper and mid-chest length, look like chain, one heavy, one light.

Sash, light-colored, tied in knot at left side, with trailing ends. Fabric appears to have a sheen to it, probably a satin weave.

Three heavy, plain bangle bracelets on right wrist, and two on left wrist.

Waving behind him what may be a cloak or wrap of some kind, structure not visible. It is of medium color on one side; the other has an arabesque pattern, dark on light background, possibly brocade. Fur trim around edges.

Comments:

Another Dorianesque tunic outfit. The sleeve caps on the tunic are a little unusual.

Clothing:

Light-colored shirt with raised neckline; front opening with button and loop closures. Long sleeves, moderately full, gathered into cuffs. Neckline and front have medium-color edging, to match buttons and loops.

Tunic or jerkin (exact structure not clear), light-colored with either very thin stripes or a ribbed texture, moderately loose-fitting. Low V-neckline, open almost to waist. Sleeveless.

Dark waistcoat, sleeveless, unfitted, just below waist length, worn open in front.

Accessories:

Hat, dark crown with light-colored turban-style band wound around it. Tassel on right.

Voluminous wrap, dark arabesque pattern on medium background, worn draped over right arm and shoulder.

Very full sash tied around waist, with trailing end. Striped in medium shades.

Heavy, jeweled necklace, below neck length, patterned, with oval stones in large rectangular settings.

Ring, slightly patterned, on third finger of right hand.

A tangle of several necklaces -- pearl, chain, jeweled, in various sizes and patterns -- held in left hand with end of strings tucked into sash.

Comments:

One of Dorian's fantasy outfits. This one shows influences from the Middle East and the Renaissance, without partaking entirely of either.

Clothing:

Light-colored tunic, very loose-fitting, mid-thigh length. Neckline and full sleeves are gathered into narrow bands. Front neckline slit, closed with small button on neck band.

Light-colored trousers, fitted, with creases.

Light-colored boots.

Accessories:

Belt or sash, appears to be either twisted or braided. Medium color, no closure visible.

Comments:

Simple lounge wear; nothing of especial interest here.

Clothing:

Dark tank top with light-colored neck band.

Dark, short-sleeved shirt or jacket, to match tank top. Edges of front opening, neck, and sleeves have light-colored bands.

Trousers and footwear not visible.

Accessories:

Thin chain necklace, worn tucked into neckline of tank top.

Comments:

Can't see much of this one. Looks practical and unremarkable.

Clothing:

Light-colored shirt, moderately close-fitting, with standing collar, front opening (no closures visible). Narrow trim or topstitching around neck and front opening edges. Long, very full sleeves, gathered into wide cuffs.

Full-length, light-colored, sleeveless robe, worn open in front.

Very loose-fitting, light-colored Turkish-style trousers, worn tucked into boots.

Light-colored boots, upper calf length, low heels.

Long, light-colored veil with dark headband.

Comments:

A very exotic Middle Eastern look, which makes an interesting contrast with Dorian's obviously not Middle Eastern coloration.

Clothing:

Light-colored tank top with low scooped neckline.

Dark jacket, below hip length, with three-quarter length sleeves, turned-back cuffs. Lining, visible at collar, lapels, and cuffs, is of medium shade. Worn open in front. Has back center vent and narrow belt (worn fastened across back of jacket).

Close-fitting trousers of medium shade, jeans styling.

Light-colored boots.

Accessories:

Light-colored scarf tied around neck; dark stripe around edge.

Dark belt, rectangular buckle.

Four heavy bangle bracelets on left wrist, one or two on right wrist.

Comments:

Tourist garb.

Clothing:

Uniform tunic, light-colored, fitted, upper thigh length, with long, close-fitting sleeves. Pleated pockets with flaps, breast and lower front, both sides. High collar, folded down. Front button closure; three-button sleeve vents.

Edge of shirt cuff visible at wrist, but shirt is otherwise completely hidden by tunic.

Uniform trousers, light-colored, fitted, with creases. Worn tucked into boots.

Light-colored veil with light head band.

Dark belt with rectangular buckle. Diagonal shoulder strap. Small pouch on belt.

Comments:

Klaus is right; Dorian doesn't really look much like a soldier, even in a uniform, but it's an interesting change nevertheless.

Dark (prob. black) turtleneck sweater, long sleeves.

Accessories:

Dark belt, rectangular buckle.

Comments:

This one looks nice on both of them. Is this the only time we ever see Dorian in a shoulder holster?

Floor-length robe, fitted through hips, flaring below into full hemline. Wide, shallow neckline. Long sleeves, flaring to wide, shaped wrist opening. Light color with diagonal stripes.

Accessories:

Narrow cord belt, loosely tied at left front, with tassled, dangling ends.

Comments:

Dorian often likes classically-draped clothing for lounge wear; this appears to be a Middle Eastern variation on the same idea.

Dark shirt, close-fitting. Standing collar, front neckline slit to middle of chest. Long sleeves worn rolled up to above elbow.

Close-fitting trousers, medium color, jeans styling.

Just a nice, casual outfit, nothing special.

Comments:

Awfully conventional and conservative for Dorian. The Bekhzials are dressed up, too; they may be at a fancy restaurant.
